Kunhi-Yo “I’m Healthy” Workshop

The Kunhi-Yo “I’m Healthy” Workshop is proud to present to the Oneida Community cultural learning event of an Eagle 🦅 wings and Harvest.
All Oneida Community members are welcome to learn about harvesting the Bald Eagle and why we use the Eagle feathers as it relates to our culture. See an in-person eagle wings and tail harvest from the carcass. Please note no real Eagle feathers will be handed out and imitation feathers for the spirit feathers will be given out at the event.

Date:  May 8th
Time:  4:45pm-7pm
Location:  Oneida Behavioral Health main entrance – 2640 West Point Rd. Green Bay WI. Door 10.

SCHEDULE
Doors open at 4:45pm
5:00 pm: Prayer and Smudge, Tabacco burning to show respect – Presenters Daniel Crowsee, Shannon Hill SAC
5:15 pm: View Eagle wings harvest viewing only.
5:30 pm: Watch short videos on:
– Eagle 🦅 harvest process
– Learn About the sacred medicines Sage, Cedar, Tobacco, Sweet Grass
– How and why we smudge – Demonstration and Talks by Daniel Crowsee

Make your own Sage Bundles (1 per Person) while your listen. (Participant will help fill sage bundles for the community)
Mark your own spirt feather 🪶 (imitation 🪶 feathers for craft project) 1 per person.
Note: Sprit Feathers supplies will be available, and our Oneida Youth are encouraged to come but must be accompanied by an adult.

Disclaimer due to the protected nature of this event please note that this is not a ceremonial event it is an educational event for the community families/youth to learn the importance of harvesting animals in a responsible way.
