Government Administrative Office (GAO)

About Us

The Tribal Secretary’s Office (TSO) was established on July 25, 2012, to provide administrative assistance and services to the Oneida Business Committee (OBC) and the Oneida Community. In 2017, the TSO was re-branded as the Business Committee Support Office (BCSO) to align the department’s responsibilities and services with its new title. The BCSO transitioned to the Government Administrative Office (GAO) in March 2022, which better reflects the department’s current services and communication efforts identified through the area’s strategic planning assessment.

Restructuring the GAO involved partnering with the Intergovernmental Affairs and Communications (IGAC) department to focus on supporting the OBC while providing resources for tribal members to receive and access information. The GAO is comprised of:

  • Professional Support Services – 3 staff
  • Administrative Support to the OBC/GTC – 3 staff
  • Boards/Committees/Commissions – 4 staff
  • Government Information Services (GIS) – 2 staff, 1 vacant
  • Records Management – 2 staff,

We are tracking each service to ensure our efforts provide added value to both our government and our membership. If you have any questions or need any additional information, please contact the GAO at (920) 869-4364.
