Welcome

The mission of the Y.E.S. Program is to promote the advancement of educational, cultural, and social development of American Indian students.

Through partnership with area school districts, the Y.E.S. Program staff provide academic and social support for eligible American Indian students who attend some of the local public schools surrounding the Oneida Reservation.

At the beginning of the school year, the Y.E.S. staff sends letters of introduction or re-introduction. Referrals are made to the Y.E.S. Program by school staff, current students, and programs within the Oneida Nation and community.

The top three priorities of the Y.E.S. Program are to increase graduation rates, improve grade point averages, and promote positive self-concept and self-esteem.
