Metoxen, Lida H.

Lida H. Metoxen, 81, Oneida, passed away Thursday, August 03, 2017. She was born August 19, 1935 in Oneida, WI a daughter of the late Freeman and Rena (John) Parkhurst.

Lida was a graduate of West De Pere High School and Fox Valley Technical College. She was a Nurse aide working at Home Health Care, St Vincent Hospital and Anna John Nursing Home. In her free time Lida enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, and crafting. She was a member of the Holy Apostle Church and the Altar Guild, and a member of the DoDo Club

Lida is survived by her children: Dale “Ricky” (Tammy) Metoxen Sr., Lynn Metoxen, Kenneth Metoxen, Laurie “Lobie” Metoxen, Lyle (Laurie) Metoxen, Mitchel (Glenda) Metoxen, Al Metoxen; grandchildren: Angie, Dale, Richard, Gunnar, Brickman, Margot, Marjorie, Freeman, Raeann, Luanne, Gabrielle, Richard, Iris, Jeremy, Kennedy, and Kaden; great grandchildren: Burnie, Whitney, C.J., Sophia, Maddox, Logan, Eagle, Aleena, and Amelia. She is further survived by Tina Pospychala; sister Yvonne (Ron) Metoxen. Lida is preceded in death by her parents Freeman and Rena; her son Jeff Metoxen; great grandson Drew; father of her children Roy K. Metoxen; sisters: Mary Skenandore, Martha Skenandore, Wilma Green, and Betsy John; brothers Brickman Parkhurst, and Benjamin Parkhurst.

Family and friends may visit from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere. Oneida Hymn Singers at 6:30 PM and a Wake Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Holy Apostle Episcopal Church, Freedom Rd, Oneida. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM with Fr.
