VFW Post 7784 honors WWII veterans

On Saturday, May 21, 2016, the Oneida Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 7784, along with family members, friends, local dignitaries, numerous sponsors and donors paid respects to the 13 known surviving Oneida WWII veterans. The ceremony, which took place in the Radison Hotel and Conference Center’s Wolf Room, included featured speakers, lunch, and formal individual recognition by current Post 7784 members. Each veteran recieved a letter of recognition and a special plaque featuring a sacred eagle feather in their name.
