Eco-Services Nonpoint and Forestry Programs

Eco-Services focuses on projects and education. We install Best Management projects on tribal farmland that keeps soil, fertilizer and pesticides on farm fields and out of waterways.  Many of our projects change every year dependent on funding, community needs and interests.  We provide environmental planning support for community projects such as trails and stormwater.

Non-Point Program

  • Provide customer service, education and outreach to tribal agricultural land lease holders for assistance with Farm Bill Programs
  • Work with tribal agricultural lease holders and Farms to protect the watersheds on the reservation by installing and maintaining buffers to waterways
  • Work with Federal and local Agencies to address resource concerns within agricultural lands
  • Manage the restoration of land back into natural areas such as wetlands, forests and grasslands for wildlife habitat
  • Administer several resource conservation grants and programs
  • For more information about the Non-point program contact the Non-point program manager at (920 869-4587) wjohnson@oneidanation.org

Buffers along agricultural fields filter runoff and protect water quality.
