What is Vocational Rehabilitation?
Our goal is to offer job assistance that respects different cultures to enrolled Native Americans with disabilities who face challenges in their ability to work. We aim to help them find, keep, and regain employment according to their needs.

Oneida Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) is a creative partnership between the consumer and vocational counselor. The focus of OVR is to assist individuals with disabilities in overcoming barriers to employment and achieving their vocational goals.

What are Transition Services?
We offer special services that respect different cultures to enrolled Native American students with disabilities as they move from school to starting a job. These services are designed to help them smoothly transition into the workforce, providing the support they need along the way.

The counselor and student work together to find and solve problems that might make it had for the student to get a job. These problems could be things like not being able to do certain physical task, not having enough skills, or education, problems with getting too work, or unfair treatment because of their disabilities. The counselor understands the students’ needs and situation and helps them produce ways to overcome these problems.
