Community Services Block Grant (CSBG)
A program designed to assist with emergency food and shelter to Oneida Enrolled Native Americans or enrolled Native Americans in a federally recognized tribe residing within the Oneida Reservation boundaries that are experiencing a temporary interruption of income.
Program funding for these services is from a State grant through the Family Services Grant, services are subject to funding availability.
- Assist with security deposit maximum $400.
- Assist rent/mortgage $500 maximum.
- Assists with $100 with food assistance.
- Assists with utilities $200 maximum. Includes heat, water, and electricity.
Description: Interruption of income is defined as loss of regular worked wages due to layoff, termination, suspension, reduction of hours, or loss of unearned income (SSI/SSDI, Unemployment Compensation) exhausted, suspension, or termination. Assistance is provided once in a 12-month period.
