History of Department
DPW Automotive developed around 1980. It started with 2 employees, Wesley Smith and Gordon Skenandore, and one vehicle lift. Approximately, 1994-95 the Automotive Department moved into their current location. Eventually, Automotive added two more vehicle lifts, as well as two more employees, to keep up with the increasing number of vehicles being purchased.
Automotive currently performs repairs and maintenance for 220 tribally owned vehicles for various internal departments of the Oneida Nation.
