Minor Home Repair
This service provides low cost minor home repair to Oneida elders age 70+ that own and are living in their home. The provision of service is dependent upon health and safety concerns. Elders ages 55-69 may receive assistance, but elders must purchase materials prior to any repairs.
Service area: Brown & Outagamie Counties within the Oneida Nation Reservation.
Major Home Repair
This service provides major home repair with a maximum of $10,000 every other year. Repairs must be related to a health or safety issue of main living space.
Eligibility:
- Must be Oneida enrolled;
- Elders 65 and older;
- Individuals 18-64 with a documented disability;
- Annual Income:
- 1 person = $40,000
- 2 people = $50,000
NOTE: GWA payments are NOT counted as income.
- Must have owned the home for the last 5 years;
- Must have home owner’s insurance;
- Must reside at the home under repair.
Applications will be accepted during the submission periods of October 1st – October 15th and April 1st – April 15th each fiscal year, with a lottery draw to determine who will be able to utilize the funds for their home repair.
NOTE: Those who are not selected may apply during future application periods.
