Jennifer Berg-Hargrove is an enrolled member of the Oneida Nation and is Bear Clan. Jennifer is currently serving as Director of Oneida Family Services where she provides oversight to Indian Child Welfare, Foster Care, Kinship Care, Parenting, and Yon^hali*yo (Domestic Abuse & Youth Prevention). Jennifer is deeply committed to providing support and leadership to her work family in their mission of Tsyakhitsy^*tha-Healing Families Together. Jennifer is most proud to be a contributing work family member in the areas of improving safety and wellness for Oneida families with the inclusion of Tsi?NiyukwalihoT^ in service delivery and practice.
Jennifer has been an employee of the Nation for over 26 years and has been in her current role since 2016. Her additional experience includes working as an Ongoing Indian Child Welfare worker, along with several years in Retail and Gaming. Eventually, Jennifer decided to pursue higher education and is a first-generation college graduate. She started her academic journey with Northeast Wisconsin Technical College before transferring to College of Menominee Nation and completing a Bachelor of Criminal Justice degree at Concordia University. She then went on to University of Wisconsin-Madison to earn her Master of Social Work degree with an emphasis in Children, Youth and Families. She also completed additional course work to earn her license in school social work.
Jennifer has a strong passion for healing and new learning, and the contributions they bring to personal growth and wellness. Outside of her professional role, Jennifer is a proud Wife, Mom, Auntie and relative. As a family, they enjoy lacrosse, traveling, pow wows and camping.
