The six counties that make up southeast Wisconsin: Milwaukee, Kenosha, Racine, Ozaukee, Washington and Waukesha.

Overview

SEOTS is a satellite office serving Oneida Nation tribal members living in southeastern Wisconsin. The priority of improving wellness outcomes for the community is accomplished through community education and connection to quality programs and services.

Providing a connection to Oneida culture is a significant component of programming. Some of the offerings are trips to Oneida, Oneida language classes, Oneida culture presentations and art classes.

Additionally, SEOTS realizes the importance of bringing the community together. During the year community events are provided for socialization, community organization, education and recreation.

Services

Southeastern Oneida Tribal Services was established in 1983 to provide services to all Tribal members in the six counties of southeastern Wisconsin. Today, approximately 2,000 Tribal members reside within the six (6) counties that make up southeast Wisconsin: Milwaukee, Kenosha, Racine, Ozaukee, Washington, and Waukesha. Upcycling Sewing Workshop

A community workshop series focused on creative sustainability through clothing upcycling with an Indigenous cultural influence. The “Indigenous Upcycling Workshop Series” will teach participants how to transform gently used clothing into personalized, meaningful garments using applique, ribbons, and designs inspired by Indigenous artistry. Open to a limited amount of participants, ages 16 and older. Must call SEOTS to register, and must be willing to commit to the full series.

Canvas Painting Classes

Open to ages 8+ with an adult. Limited spots available. Cost is $5 but is refundable if you attend the class. The $5 is non-refundable for no-call no shows or cancellations with less than 24 hours notice.

SEOTS Social Dance Classes

We’re excited to be hosting Oneida Social Dance Classes every Saturday in March with Kash and Laken! Open to 60 participants. Participate as much as you would like, as participation in each session is not required. Potluck lunch will be provided. If you would like to bring a dish to pass, please let us know.

Boy’s Drumming Group at SEOTS

Instructor Isiah Nahwahquaw will lead drumming circle and instruction. This is open to boys of all ages.

Song Teachings

The Oneida language department will be providing teachings about seed songs. This is a community event open to all ages.

Cultural Heritage at SEOTS: Gender Roles Teachings

The cultural heritage department will be coming down to SEOTS to provide some teachings to our community regarding traditional Oneida gender roles. A meal, storytelling, and activities will be provided. Please come by for part or all of the afternoon!

Cooking Class

Building Closure for Good Friday

The SEOTS office will close for the day at 12pm on Friday, April 3rd for Good Friday. We will reopen on Monday, April 6th at 8am.

Come join us for our craft circle! Bring by whatever you have been working on whether that be your personal beading or sewing projects, a craft you didn’t complete in a SEOTS craft class, or anything else! Limited supplies are available.
