WIOA

The Oneida Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) Job Training Program assists individuals with employment and skills development services. The goal of the program is to prepare you for a long term, full time employment in the shortest amount of time.  Your success in this program depends on the effort and commitment you put into it.  The program expects you to approach every opportunity, activity, appointment, and assignment as if it is your job.

We offer a wide range of services to eligible consumers such as job search assistance, resume and cover letter assistance, job interview preparation, career counseling, GED/HSED incentives, work experience and training to upgrade employment skills.  The purpose of the program is to provide resources to help Native Americans with barriers to employment seek realistic vocational goals. WIOA eligibility requires consumers to be enrolled with a federally-recognized tribe, unemployed, underemployed, low income, employed but in need of services to obtain/retain employment that achieves self-sufficiency.  The consumer must be resident of one of the following counties: Brown, Outagamie, Kewaunee, Door, Calumet, Sheboygan, Manitowoc or Winnebago.

To see if one is eligible, please complete the application below and schedule an intake.  There are four things required at the intake:

1) Tribal enrollment card, or tribal document verifying enrollment

2) Social Security Card

3) Picture I.D.

4) Proof of residency (utility bill, rent receipt, delivered mail with date, name and address)

Participants may be eligible to receive direct, employment-related support services (ie: tools, work clothing, transportation support, maintenance, etc.) only after the client has been determined eligible for the project, an approved plan for employment has been developed and agreed upon, and the support service has been incorporated into the employment plan with appropriate justifications.
