See the Ways above. Raised Beadwork: Culture, Community, & Connection. PBS Wisconsin Education recently shared a story featuring Eliza Skenandore, Director of the Oneida Community Library and citizen of the Oneida Nation. In this short video, Eliza shares how she began learning raised beadwork and how the practice has shaped her work as a librarian, teacher, and community builder. The story highlights the importance of passing cultural knowledge from person to person and the role that libraries and other community spaces can play in creating opportunities for people to learn, share, and connect.
