New and improved Oneida Lake reopens

Oneida Environmental, Health, Safety and Land (EHSL) Division Director Nicole Rommel, Oneida Nation Vice Chairman Brandon Stevens, retired EHSL Director Pat Pelky, Oneida Nation Chairman Tehassi Hill, Councilman David Jordan, Environmental Quality Manager Jim Snitgen, and Councilman Kirby Metoxen perform the ceremonial ribbon-cutting for the Grand Reopening of Oneida Lake May 20. The lake, closed due to the pandemic, is now open and is 12 acres larger than it was prior to the shutdown.
