Messner, Anthony “Tony”

Anthony (Tony) Messner passed on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at the Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club in Prior Lake, MN, doing what he loved – pheasant hunting with a friend. Tony was 66 years old.

Tony was born on November 29, 1953, in Milwaukee, WI, to William and Marion Messner. He graduated from Cudahy Senior High School with the Class of 1971, and later graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Science in architecture in 1977, and a Master of Architecture in 1979. Tony had a long and successful career as an architect and real estate executive. He was a member of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin. Tony enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spent every available opportunity enjoying the great outdoors with his wife, sons, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Marion Messner; and by sister, Billie Stoll (Jim Stoll).

Tony is survived by his loving wife, Rachelle Messner; sisters, Mary Evje (Don) and Susan Brandstetter; first wife, Francesca D’Acquisto; sons, Michael (Jena Olson) and Matthew Messner (Sarah Ekblad); stepchildren, Katie Tweedy, Krissy Van Hove (Jeremy), Jared Breyfogle, Colby Breyfogle, and Shannon Breyfogle, and 9 grandchildren; and by many other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Tony’s Life will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2020, at Pulaski Inn, 3900 Pulaski Avenue, Cudahy, Wisconsin, 53110.
