Joyce A. Summers, 83, Oneida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 1, 2018. She was born February 2, 1935 in Green Bay, a daughter of the late Sadie (Summers) Moes.
Joyce loved volunteering for the Salvation Army for over 20 years and being a part of the Women’s League. She enjoyed babysitting, putting puzzles together, riding her bike, going camping, swimming, and watching the Green Bay Packers.
Joyce is survived by her sister Merle Moes; niece Marlo Moes and her granddaughter Estrella Mia, nephew Troy Cornelius and his daughter Duffy, and nephew Chad (Krista) Cornelius and their children Reece and Anna; Barbara (Clint) Hanie and their children Bobbi Jo, and Danni, and April. She is further survived by many cousins. Joyce was preceded in death by her mother Sadie; her special great niece Krystal Moes; her siblings: Roger Summers, Rudolph “Rudy” Summers, and Bernard Moes, Jr; and aunts and uncles.
Family and friends may visit from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 305 N. Tenth St. Oneida Hymn Singers at 6:00 PM and a Salvation Army Prayer service at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday, February 9, 2018, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
