I have been in the social work field since 2004, beginning my career as an advocate for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors before becoming a Crisis Counselor at the Crisis Center. I then spent 8 years doing substance abuse counseling and managing the Residential treatment program at the Jackie Nitschke Center before being blessed with the opportunity to work for Oneida community at Oneida Behavioral Health in 2015. I practice radical acceptance in work with my clients and truly believe that “people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel” (Maya Angelou).
I am blessed to have a spouse and dog (named GusGus) that I love and adore. I enjoy laughter, spoiling my nieces and nephews, doing various crafts, reading, spending time with family, building fairy gardens, doing graphic design, listening to music of all varieties, engaging in activities that help me grow in my faith and obsessively organizing my Pinterest boards.
