I have worked in the field of mental and substance most of my career. I started working with elderly and disabled as a certified nursing assistant in nursing homes , in the individuals homes as well as in medical hospitals for many years. I then worked as mental health tech inpatient on in several psychiatric hospitals and in the community. I remained a mental health professional in a crisis center through school while obtaining my bachelors degree in human services. I remained working as a mobile crisis professional until initially receiving my clinical substance abuse certification to receiving my Masters degree in social work. My focus currently is as a substance abuse counselor. I am currently working towards my co-occurring license to allow working with both mental health and substance abuse simultaneously.
I am a widow of ten years , I have two amazing sons, two daughter in laws and two grandson just as amazing. My wonderful aunt currently lives with me and we take care of each other in many different ways. I have a cat and live in the country and have an abundance of friendly critters that we are so grateful to enjoy. It is my sanctuary. I enjoy traveling, going to concerts, hiking, biking, kayaking, reading, going for long drives and listening to music. I enjoy getting together with family and friends, working in my flower gardens and living life to my fullest.
I enjoy empowering and working with those that need support and education towards living a prosperous mentally and physically life style and well-being.
