PROVIDER BIO:
I have worked in the field of mental and substance use most of my career. I worked with elderly and disabled as a certified nursing assistant in nursing homes and hospitals for many years. I then worked as mental health tech – inpatient in several psychiatric hospitals and in the community. I remained a mental health professional in a crisis center while obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services. I worked as a mobile crisis professional until initially receiving my Clinical Substance Abuse Certification and my Master’s Degree in Social Work. My focus currently is as a substance abuse counselor, and I am working towards my co-occurring license which will allow me to work with both mental health and substance abuse clients simultaneously.

I am a widow of ten years. I have two amazing sons, two daughters-in-law and two grandsons who are just as amazing. My wonderful aunt currently lives with me and we take care of each other in many different ways. I have a cat and live in the country and have an abundance of friendly critters that we are so grateful to enjoy. It is my sanctuary. I enjoy traveling, going to concerts, hiking, biking, kayaking, reading, going for long drives and listening to music. I enjoy getting together with family and friends, working in my flower gardens and living life to my fullest.

I enjoy empowering and working with those that need support and education in order to live a prosperous, mentally and physically healthy life.
