Welcome
The humble roots of the Experiential Education department began working exclusively with internal social services programming in 1996. When the word of the powerful learning that was happening spread across the community, more groups began utilizing the services. Learning by doing is not only a concept. It is a powerful way to not only teach, but to solidify learning and create experiences that transfer into real life situations.
Since that time, we have expanded programming to include an indoor as well as an outdoor ropes and challenge course, kayaking as well as canoeing programming, outdoor adventure opportunities, therapeutic enlightenment and much more. Discover all the opportunities that we have to offer the community and beyond.
We believe in creating and reaching new possibilities of experienced personal growth and change. Within the experience we provide, a challenge is presented and discussed. We help our participants experience unknown opportunities and gain personal and team strength. We believe new awareness’s cannot occur without stepping out of our comfort zone.
Our skilled facilitators provide the tools you need to have a great time in a safe environment. Check out the pages for more information or contact us at

Power of Experiential
Experiential programming provides challenging and novel activities coupled with unusual opportunities for shared reflection. In this way, the experiential approach creates learning environments within a supportive atmosphere, which in turn brings about learning outcomes beyond those of the typical lecture or simulation. Because this approach can be more realistic than simulations, and because it provides opportunity for practice through experience, it proves extremely useful in personal and group development where resistance to change is prevalent or where an attitude of rigid thinking exists.
We believe in creating and reaching new possibilities of experience personal growth and change, within the experience we provide in our programming options, a challenge is presented. within that challenge, we help our participants experience unknown or new opportunities and personal strength, we believe new awareness’s cannot occur without stepping outside of our comfort zone. However, venturing too far out of our comforts may lead us to our fight or flight. our best learning occurs when we feel both safe and challenged at the same time. our trained facilitators help participants stay within this learning zone for optimal personal growth.
Recreational Opportunities
We make it fun! Oneida Adventures provides activity based learning to promote socialization and fun. we offer a wide variety of recreational venues including kayaking, canoeing, mountain biking, rock climbing, high ropes course, snowshoeing, caving and activities designed specifically to make you laugh! By utilizing these venues, we can bring about in-depth learning and therapeutic experience or provide an atmosphere of a shared social group bonding experience. Not all of our programming uses these venues.
Outdoor Adventure
Often, our facilitators utilize the “great outdoors” to create meaningful, educational, metaphorical and conceptual experience and programming. we use the outdoors as our classroom to help challenge individuals to rely on each other and themselves, and organically bring about concepts and skills that emphasize personal growth.
