At Oneida Comprehensive Health Division, we are honored to nurture the next generation of healthcare professionals. Our commitment lies in empowering aspiring healthcare advocates with the resources and support they need to thrive in their careers. Our work reflects the values and dedication of the Oneida Nation. We have multiple options and pathways for career exploration, including academic partnerships, educational placements, shadowing opportunities and internships.

Academic Partnerships: Our clinic is proud to partner with more than 40 higher education institutions. These academic partnerships provide students with meaningful experiences that complement their classroom learning. We work closely with colleges and universities to ensure students gain practical skills they need to thrive in today’s healthcare environment.

Educational Placements: Educational placements are opportunities, for individuals enrolled in a program at a higher education institution, to gain hands-on experience required for degree completion.

Shadowing Opportunities: For those over 18 who would like to explore a career in health care, our shadowing program is an opportunity for students to expand their knowledge base and learn what a typical workday looks like for a healthcare professional. Currently, we have shadowing opportunities available in the medical clinic, optometry and radiology/general x-ray. If you are interested in shadowing in an area not listed here, please reach out to us to learn if we can create that opportunity. For individuals under 18 years of age, a shadowing experience can be arranged through their school with parental consent.
