MIAD’s 2025 Summer Pre-College Program 

Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design’s (MIAD) Pre-College opportunity is specifically geared toward native and indigenous youth interested in the arts. Recipients receive full tuition to MIAD’s 2025 Summer Pre-College Program, which includes housing, meals, and all required supplies. The experience features an in-person orientation, visits to artist studios and design firms, and a variety of workshops and group activities. Participants also receive a $250 award for travel or personal expenses, plus an additional $250 in program supplies. Ongoing support is provided through regular online meetings with instructors and group sessions that include critiques, visiting artist talks, and collaborative discussions.

The American Indian College Fund is NOW ACCEPTING scholarship applications 

2025-2026 Higher Pathways Grant

the Higher Pathways Grant is now open for applications and invite you to apply! This opportunity is designed to support high schools and organizations serving Native American and Alaska Native high school seniors in their journey toward college.

Through this grant, we aim to increase college readiness, FAFSA completion, and college application submissions among Native students. Receiving this grant will include tracking the completion of these items form your seniors and reporting to us each month. Selected schools and organizations will receive funding to implement impactful college-going programs for the 2025 academic year.

Highlights of the Higher Pathways Grant:

  • Funding to support college access programming for Native high school seniors

OESC College Scholarship

Each year OESC has a College Scholarship program where high school seniors can apply for a chance to receive a scholarship of $5,000. Please review the attached flyer for details.

University of Buffalo Ongweonwe Indigenous Student Scholarship

Scholarship opportunity for enrolled members of a federally recognized tribe who are also current or newly enrolled students to the University of Buffalo. This grant/scholarship is designed to reduce the cost of out-of-state tuition to the cost of in-state tuition.  

Amy Hunter-Wilson, MD Scholarship Fund

Established by Dr. Hunter-Wilson, this scholarship is available to American Indian students who pursue training or advanced education as doctors of medicine, nurses, or in a related health field. Award amounts vary, generally $1,000 or more. 

Victor A. Baylon, MD, Scholarship

As a lasting tribute to Dr. Baylon, a pathologist from Racine, his family and the laboratory staff of All Saints Healthcare System, Inc. created this scholarship for medical students, medical technologists, and clinical laboratory scientists. Scholarships of $1,000-$2,500 are limited to residents from Racine or Milwaukee Counties. To apply, use the General Scholarship Application found on our website.
