Oneida Recovery Nest Celebrates Third Anniversary
September 2025 — Oneida Behavioral Health invites the community to celebrate the third anniversary of the Oneida Recovery Nest on Monday, September 22, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Recovery Nest is a dedicated place for recovery coaching and other important programming to support those on a path to recovery from substance use.
Community members are invited to honor this milestone, with celebration and education taking place that day. The event will showcase various resources, such as the Recovery Nest, Nar-Anon family groups, Alcoholics Anonymous, Tribal Action Plan and a variety of other behavioral health services. There will also be light refreshments.
Please join us on September 22 to honor the Oneida Recovery Nest as a place for healing, support and wisdom. We will also remember individuals who have lost their battle with substance use.
“Today marks a meaningful milestone as we celebrate the anniversary of these vital services in the Oneida community,” said Mari Kreischer, Director of Oneida Behavioral Health. “We’re here to support you. The Recovery Nest offers a unique environment for healing, connection and growth. Our Recovery Support Services Team is dedicated to walking alongside individuals with care that is both culturally responsive and holistic.”
The Recovery Nest currently has five recovery coaches: Patrick Danforth, Stephanie Skenandore, Lori Elm, Brittney Skenandore and Kristy King. The services at Oneida Recovery Nest focus on non-clinical issues, such as support, housing, medical care, education and employment resources. In addition to recovery coaching, current Recovery Nest meetings and activities include Nar-Anon for loved-ones of addicts, beading circle support, Wellbriety Recovery Talking-Circle and others.
