Oneida Comprehensive Health Division Welcomes Dr. Tammy Kaza to Provider Team
Oneida Comprehensive Health Division (OCHD) is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Thanmayi “Tammy” Kaza to its dedicated team of healthcare providers. Dr. Kaza is a board-certified Family Medicine and Hospice/Palliative Care physician. She has extensive experience in geriatrics and long-term care, making her an invaluable asset to OCHD’s mission to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to the Oneida Nation and surrounding communities.
With a medical degree from NRI Medical College in India, Dr. Kaza completed her Family Medicine residency through Louisiana State University’s Rural Program in Alexandria, LA, and a Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship at Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. Her expertise aligns closely with OCHD’s commitment to holistic, culturally sensitive care and her role as Medical Director for Anna John Resident Centered Care Community (AJRCCC) underscores her dedication to improving health outcomes for elders and long-term care patients.
“Having grown up in the South, moving to Wisconsin was an adjustment, especially to the winters! Last year, I tried dog sledding for the first time – something I didn’t even know people did outside of Alaska,” shared Dr. Kaza. “I’m excited to bring my background in long-term care to the community here and look forward to supporting the health and wellbeing of all our patients.”
