Kateri is a proud member of the Oneida Nation and also descends from the Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe. She has always been passionate about working with and in our community supporting our Nation. She was born and raised here in Oneida. She and her husband have a blended family of five children and three grandchildren. She is also a daughter, niece, auntie and sister to many. Kateri loves spending as much time with them as she can.
She enjoys, and advocates for, the water and our rights to it. She enjoys spearing, ice and reel fishing and kayaking, but, most of all, waterfalling! She also enjoys reading, watching movies, volleyball and traveling. Her focus has always been to bring our Indigenous voice to the forefront. Integrating evidence-based and traditional practices is her primary area of interest. Kateri wants our Indigenous voices to always be heard and supported. We are stronger together.
