Community Education Center Mission Statement:
We provide the Oneida community essential programs and services that promote lifelong learning for self-sufficiency and overall wellbeing of twahwhatsilay^ (we are all family).

Community Education Center History:
The Oneida Community Education Center began in June 1993 as the Oneida Career Development and Technical Center through a federal Workplace Literacy Grant. The center offered computer classes, GED/HSED program, and career counseling for tribal members. By 1998, the name changed to the Community Education Center with a new goal to provide the community with educational and enrichment opportunities.
Today, the Center offers more diverse programming to include community classes, events, tutoring, GED/HSED programs, and computer/internet use for the public.

Computer Resources
Oneida Community Education Center has over 30 public use computers. CEC computers are equipped with the following below. If you are in need of assistance with online interviews, meetings, and/or appointments, we are available to assist you. Call us to set up a private computer station.
Adult Based Education
The Community Education Center provides our community with educational resources including GED and HSED Services. These resources are available to the general public. Inquire today!
Tutoring Program
In addition to the Reading Specialist and Math Tutor, our instructors are equipped to tutor in a variety of subjects, K-12, and some higher education subjects.

Budgeting Class
Personal Finance 101: Everything You Need to Know
This class fulfills the Oneida Nation Center for Self Sufficiency Budgeting Class requirement. Gain practical knowledge of personal finance, covering everything from taxes to credit cards. This class is taught through a series of short, engaging, animated videos. Each video teaches you about a specific topic (investing, taxes, buying a car, paying off loans, and more).
*Online, 3-hour class. Print or save the Certificate of Completion and give to your case manager.

Programs
Northstar Digital Literacy
Oneida Community Education Center uses the Northstar Digital Literacy Program to provide computer programs and classes to our community to promote digital literacy. Northstar Digital Literacy tests your computer skills. You can build skills in key areas and demonstrate your knowledge by earning certificates and badges. Prepare for your future now!
CEC offers a variety of computer classes including Basic Computer Skills and Microsoft Excel for beginners. Classes are offered monthly, two sessions per course. Space is limited and classes reach capacity quickly. To ensure registration, follow our Facebook page or call us today.
If you are interested in obtaining a certificate of completion in any area of study, reach out to the CEC to set up a proctored testing date. The CEC is Northstar testing site, the pin for CEC is RW73.
