A heartfelt thank you to the Oneida Nation Apple Orchard for their generous donation of apples to our homeschool program. The first week was filled with excitement as the youth learned to make homemade apple sauce, taking on the challenge of coring the apples themselves. In the second week, they utilized their newfound skills to create delicious apple chips using an air fryer. The fun didn’t stop there; the children also engaged in creative apple-themed crafts.
We are grateful for the opportunity to share the leftover apples with the Oneida Civic Center, where the youth enjoyed them. Additionally, we provided some for our library patrons to snack on throughout the week. This collaboration highlights the importance of community support and education.
The Oneida Apple Orchard not only contributes to our learning experiences but also fosters a sense of togetherness within our community. We appreciate their efforts in making these educational moments so sweet and memorable.
