Oneida Nation Councilman Daniel Guzman-King and Secretary Lisa Liggins present a $25 Oneida One Stop Gift Card to each of the Town of Oneida Volunteer Firefighters during a recognition ceremony held December 19, 2022.
Those honored were: Don Jorgenson, Anna Froelich, Cheyenne Steffes, Kyle Vandenlangenberg, Morgan Vandenlangenberg, Curt Olson, Dave Vandenberg, Glen Olson, Chad Olson, Chris Vandenlangenberg, Randy Robertson, Gary Olson, Jim Olson, Riley Olson, Scott Schaumberg, Al Mullen, Adam Vandenberg, and Theodore Kurowski.

The Oneida Business Committee (OBC) thanked the Town of Oneida Volunteer Fire Department for their continued dedication to keeping the residents of the reservation safe during a brief ceremony held December 19, 2022. Secretary Lisa Liggins and Councilman Daniel Guzman-King were on hand to present each of the department’s firefighters with a $25 Oneida One Stop Gift Card as gratitude for the year-round fire protection the volunteers provide for the community.
“We really want to thank the Town of Oneida Volunteer Fire Chief Glen Olson and all of the volunteer firefighters for all the services you provide for the Oneida community,” Secretary Liggins said. “Your department responds to so many calls every year and you really put the health, safety, and wellbeing of our entire community at the forefront and we really appreciate that. We are very happy to provide a small token of our appreciation because you are all truly brave and courageous and we thank you. Happy Holidays on behalf of the Oneida Business Committee.”
