Last summer, the Norbert Hill Center (NHC) pond was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The latest bacteria test results indicate levels of E.coli are below advisory level. Therefore, the NHC pond is officially open for swimming today. We will continue bacteria testing each week and we will notify the community if bacteria levels warrant advisory or closure of the pond.
We remind you that the NHC pond is “swim at your own risk” so no lifeguards will be on-site. We ask that community members who will use the pond practice COVID-19 safety measures including social distancing, appropriate hand hygiene (hand washing where available or use of hand sanitizer), and staying home if you are sick.
