Thomas Jourdan, long-time resident of Oneida went home to meet Jesus on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 after a courageous battle with COVID-19 at the age of 67. Thomas was born to Norbert and Susan Jourdan on May 12, 1953.
As a child, he grew up in Green Valley, WI and attended Pulaski High School. After high school, Thomas proudly enrolled in the military and was active duty with the U.S. Army for four years and the Army Reserves for an additional twelve years.
Thomas married Bernadette Kasper on June 7, 1977 and had two daughters, Charmaine and Cherie. The love Thomas had for his family will never be forgotten. He loved spending time with his daughters and his grandchildren. Thomas instilled a love of music, nature and family in everyone he met.
He is survived by his daughters, Charmaine (Jesse) Williquette, and Cherie (John) Koester; grandchildren, Madison (Shane) McMain, Braxton Gries, Savannah Gries, Jace Koester, Jett Koester, Emma Williquette, and Noah Williquette; great-grandchildren, Mallory McMain and Morrigan McMain; brother, Michael (Kay) Jourdan; sisters, Vicki Jourdan and Betty Orley; along with many nieces and nephews.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Susan Jourdan; sisters, Mary, Donna and Marilyn; as well as brothers, Norbert and Dan.
In lieu of flowers, all donations will be given to the Oneida Nation School District. He had a great love for his tribe, children and generations to come.
