Bonnie Spencer, of Antigo, died Sunday, March 24, 2019, at her daughter’s home under the care of her children and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 61 years old. She was born on August 16, 1957, in Antigo, a daughter of Thomas and Eva (Antone) Spencer. She married John Steckbauer, the couple later divorced, but always remained friends. She attended Antigo High School and North Central Technical College, Antigo campus. She worked in the office doing dispatch and payroll for Daniel R. Spencer Trucking. Her passion was child care and Bonnie was a self-employed certified day care provider in Antigo.
Bonnie was a member of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin.
Her children were her greatest pride and joy. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, planting flowers, caring for the yard. She loved cooking and cleaning and enjoyed trips to the Casino.
Survivors include four daughters, Jessi (Matthew) Marshall of Antigo, Judy (fiancé Chris) Steckbauer of Lily, Jami (special friend Jessica) Krueger of Tomah and Elizabeth Steckbauer of Antigo; two sons, Jeff Spencer and Johnny (girlfriend Jessie) Spencer both of Antigo; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Debra (Rob) Lindemann and Lynda Spencer; eight brothers, Tom (Rosella) Spencer, Doc (Rose) Spencer, Jim (Pat) Spencer, Ron (Sandy) Spencer, Dan Spencer, Bill (Becky) Spencer, Ken (Sue) Pacer and Dave (April) Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her half-brother, Lee Spencer; and a sister, Judith Spencer.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at 11 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. all at the funeral home.
