The onset of snow may begin this evening and is predicted to continue approximately 20-24 hours. Because this storm is beginning this evening, we cannot, determine the conditions of the roads by tomorrow morning.
The Chairman and Business Committee have issued a 10:00 a.m. start for Tuesday, February 12, 2019. Some areas have the discretion to open earlier or later based upon the service they provide. The Oneida Business Committee encourages all management to make decisions in the best interest of the safety and welfare of your customers and employees.
Managers, Directors and Supervisors must make decisions and contact employees as soon as possible when the daily business may be delayed, canceled or restricted. Program Offices and Services may restrict hours and close in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures for closing, policies attached.
The Oneida Comprehensive Health has a notification system in place that will be sent by their division.
Department of Public Works (DPW) will be working to keep all critical areas and roads plowed and shoveled, please be patient.
Oneida Transit may have restricted travel and hours based upon road conditions, their priority is always medical and employment related transportation.
Mail Delivery may be restricted and require mail to be brought to the mail center for those who need to get mailings out immediately.
Oneida Casino Operations will advise if there are restricted hours or closures on their website.
Oneida One Stops may also restrict hours and implement closures.
Oneida Fitness and Recreations may also close or restrict hours.
Oneida Nation Schools will be notified on the television stations, including Head Start.
