Anthony “J.R.” R. Skenandore, 67, of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay. He was born July 22, 1949, son of Anthony and Elizabeth (Danforth) Skenandore.

On September 25, 1971, he was united in marriage to Judith John.

J.R. was a member of Oneida United Methodist Church and played on the dartball team.

He worked at Alwin Manufacturing in Green Bay, was the director of the Oneida Recreation Department, and later worked in surveillance at the Oneida Casino until his retirement in 2015.

J.R. attended Ripon College where he pitched on the baseball team. After college, he continued to be a lifelong athlete and always excelled in each sport.  He was a passionate golfer who enjoyed watching the PGA and LPGA.  J.R. was a loyal Packer, Brewer, Badger, and local sports fan.

He is survived by his wife, Judith; children: Cory (Samantha) Skenandore, Madison; Leslie Skenandore, Frisco, TX; his only granddaughter, Alli; mother, Elizabeth Skenandore; brothers: Murry “Bo” (Chris), Russell (Carolyn), Leon (Carrie), Keith (Elaine), Tim and Kelly Skenandore; sisters: Sharon (Jim) Gerzetich, Lora Skenandore, Cheryl “Babe” (Gary) Fish, Theresa Skenandore, and April Skenandore. Further survived by sister-in-law, Carol Elm; special niece, Karen (David) Powless; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Anthony; two brothers: Bruce and Dale; brothers-in-law: Ron (Eleanor) John, Donald John, and Norman Elm; sisters-in-law: Mary (John) Hill and Beverly (Gene) Silas.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Sunday, April 30, 2017, from 4:00-8:00 pm with the Oneida Hymn Singers at 6:30 pm and a prayer service at 7:00 pm with Pastor Juan Alicea. Visitation will continue at Oneida United Methodist Church on Monday, May 1, 2017, from 9:30 am until services at 11:00 am with Pastor Ann Bullis and Pastor Juan Alicea officiating.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com
