(Oneida Reservation) – With support from the Oneida Business Committee, the Oneida Nation Public Health Officer has issued a new facial covering mandate based on updated Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance and increasing local COVID-19 infection rates.
In summary, the mandate requires: Regardless of vaccination status, individuals must wear a face covering in settings where two or more people not living in the same house occupy the same indoor or enclosed space located on the Oneida Reservation or otherwise subject to the jurisdiction or authority of the Oneida Nation. The mandate will go into effect on Friday, August 6 at 8 AM.
This requirement is to protect all Oneida Nation employees, customers, and our community as COVID-19 activity continues to climb in our area and state.
