Jahn, Selma Kathryn
Selma Kathryn Jahn, 79, of Oneida, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Anna John Nursing Home, Oneida. She was born December 25, 1937, in Normal, IL, daughter of the late O. Leslie and Rowena (Rusk) Eib. On December 25, 1960, she was united in marriage to Benjamin L. Jahn, a retired veteran of the United States Air Force.
She was a graduate from Missouri State College with a bachelor’s degree in Home Ec.
Selma was a resident of Anna John RCCC for the last few years where she enjoyed spending time in the rec room playing her favorite card game with her friends and starting (but not always finishing) various craft projects.
She is survived by her husband, Ben; daughters: Laura Jahn of Zion, IL; and Heather (Darren) Evans of Albany, OR; three grandchildren: Kathryn Wylie, Michael Evans and Lauren Sanchez; and two great-grandchildren, Emery and Corban; brothers-in-law: Tom (Adela) John, Ernest John, Andrew (Lorrie) John and Myron (Judy) John; sisters-in-law, Clara Kerwin and Cora John.
Preceded in death by her younger brother, Larry Eib.
