It’s all about keeping our kitchens safe and our bellies happy – because no one wants their holiday memories to include an upset stomach! This little refresher covers the basics of food handling and how to avoid common mistakes that can lead to illness. It’s super useful, whether you’re cooking the whole meal or just bringing a side dish. Please take a few minutes to it check out!

Heads up hunters and families! As we head into hunting season, it’s a good time to brush up on something super important -Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD). It affects deer, elk, and moose, and while it doesn’t spread to humans, it can impact the health of our herds and the safety of the meat we harvest. Our Sanitarian has put together a couple of informational slides to help raise awareness and keep everyone informed. Whether you’re out in the woods or just enjoying venison at home, knowing the signs and how to handle your harvest safely makes a big difference.
