Survey

As part of our efforts to ensure the sustainability of the Oneida Nation, the Onʌyoteʔa·ká· niɁi· Standing Committee is hosting a series of community input sessions on the topic of tribal enrollment.  While in-person sessions are available, we understand that not everyone can attend. For those unable to join us in person, we invite you to participate remotely by watching a 10-minute video on blood quantum and then answering three important questions.

These questions are first in a series that will prompt you to reflect deeply on the impact of blood quantum on eligibility and identity for future generations of the Oneida Nation.  Your input is invaluable as we explore ways to preserve our nation’s longevity and cultural heritage.  By participating, you will contribute to shaping the future of our community and ensuring continued vitality.

Thank you for taking the time to engage with this critical issue.  Your thoughts and perspectives are essential to our collective journey forward.

Before taking the survey, please watch this video. Keith Doxtator, former Director of Trust Enrollment, discusses blood quantum and citizenship at the 2022 Remaking Tribal Constitutions Seminar by Native Nations Institute at the University of Arizona.
