A Day of Fun and Learning at Our Libraries!

Library

No description available.Today was an exciting day at the Green Earth Branch Library and the Oneida Community Library! With the internet running at a sluggish 1.6 Mbps, we decided to take a break from screens and pull out the board games. The highlight was our Connect 4 tournament, which was a huge hit with the kids.

They had a blast competing and winning summer reading program prizes by spinning the wheel. One lucky kiddo won big, landing on the coveted Oneida Nation Museum prize pack! It was thrilling to see the excitement and joy on their faces. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Oneida Nation Museum for their generous donation of this fantastic prize, which made the day even more special for our young patrons.

Meanwhile, the Oneida Community Library was bustling with activity all day long. We kicked off with Homeschool Hangout, followed by a fun Shrinky Dinks session, and wrapped up with Teen Takeover! The kids got creative with Shrinky Dinks, making their own keychains. It was a great opportunity to learn about the science of plastic and what happens when it melts.

Overall, it was a day filled with fun, learning, and community bonding. We’re grateful for the enthusiastic participation and look forward to more exciting events! Remember there is still time to register for the Oneida Summer Reading Program!
