The Oneida Nation thanked the Hobart Volunteer Fire Department for their commitment to the residents of the Oneida Reservation during a gathering December 12. Chairman Tehassi Hill and Councilwoman Jennifer Webster presented Hobart Fire Chief Jerry Lancelle with thirty $25 Oneida One Stop Gift Cards for their firefighters as a sign of gratitude for their year-round hard work as part of the Oneida Business Committee’s Broad Goals of Government Roles and Responsibilities.
“On behalf of the Oneida Nation, we want to thank the Hobart Fire Chief and the Volunteer Fire Department for all their efforts to keep our community safe,” Chairman Hill said as he and Webster presented the gifts to Lancelle. “They respond to many calls a year and look beyond any boundaries that separate our communities and put the health, safety, and wellbeing of the community at the forefront. You are indeed courageous and brave individuals, and we truly appreciate all you do.”
