2025 Diabetes Event

This year’s Annual Diabetes Event was presented by Oneida Comprehensive Health Division and SDPI on November 1st, 2025, at Thornberry Creek at Oneida. We had a sold-out crowd of 300. This year’s theme, Harvest Health, Fall into Diabetes Awareness and Control. We started out the event with 10 educational booths with fun free giveaways at most booths. A healthy lunch was served, while we honored TRIAD and DPP participants. Next a heartfelt video of three Oneida Community members shared their journey with diabetes. Lastly, Steve and Becky Webster along with Giese from Ukwakhwa presented information on their Farm, and ways to help reconnect people to the seeds and foods that sustain us. Before we ended 6 giveaway prizes related to gardening, were drawn. We look forward to 2026 Annual Event. Thank you to all who participated and attended. These events are a true testament that the Oneida Community is controlling and preventing diabetes.
