During the Sept. 19, 2016 GTC Budget meeting held at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center, GTC overwhelmingly voted on a motion by Linda Dallas to table the budget agenda until further notice. At issue is the previously approved action by GTC on an amendment to a main motion to approve a smaller per capita payment to tribal membership than what was presented in the main motion. Until the procedural process and per cap …amount can be clarified, the majority of GTC did not want to proceed with the overall budget agenda.
In other GTC news, the Oneida Business Committee (OBC) voted to shut down the smoking area outside the GTC chambers altogether and shut down Radisson food service two hours after meeting commencement time. These moves were made to cut down in the amount of loitering that takes place in the Radisson halls during GTC meetings.
