Hello, first let’s start off with the first thought you had… “How do I say that name?” When broken down phonetically it sounds like: Da- Nee-Low, but don’t worry, I have heard many different variations and respond to them all. I grew up in the inner cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis, MN and so that means of course I love the Vikings!!!! SKOL!!! I am married and am blessed with two young boys. When I am not at work I enjoy bow hunting, fishing and coaching my son’s sports teams.
I entered the social work and ATODA field after watching the devastating effects of this disease destroy my own family and my people (community). I believe that each person on this planet was created to help make this experience called life better for themselves and for others around them and this is how I can contribute. I have been in this field for approx.14years and do not see myself working in any other field. I was lucky enough to be trained by Joanne Torres-Jacobs, who I mention because her passion to help others was shared with me so that I may share it with others. There is a famous quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson and it is about success that I use for my motto which says: “…To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”
