Male suspect crashes vehicle after pursuit by OPD

On Tuesday, June 26, 2108 at approximately 10:30 pm, Oneida Police were dispatched to the 6400 block of Evergreen Drive on the Oneida Reservation for a report of a disturbance involving a weapon. Upon arrival, Oneida Police Officers were informed that the suspect was in a vehicle leaving the area.  Officers attempted to stop the vehicle and it continued to leave the area.  A vehicle pursuit was initiated that lasted approximately 14 miles through areas within Outagamie and Brown Counties. The vehicle eventually crashed in the 2900 block of Freedom Road on the Oneida Reservation.  The driver, a 29 year old male from Green Bay, fled on foot but was located by the Hobart-Lawrence Police K-9 Unit and was arrested by Officers and Deputies of the Hobart-Lawrence Police and Brown County Sheriff’s Office.  The passenger, a 19 year old female from Oneida, stayed in the vehicle and was also part of the incident and subsequently arrested by Oneida Police Officers.

The male was booked into the Outagamie County Jail for 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Battery, Resisting/Obstructing Arrest, and Eluding.  The female was booked into the Outagamie County Jail for 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Battery, and Eluding.  The victim has minor injuries and was treated at the scene.  There were no other injuries.  Details about the weapon and identities of the victim and suspects will not be released as the incident is still under investigation.  The agencies that were involved were Oneida Police Department, Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department, Seymour Police Department, Hobart-Lawrence Police Department, and Brown County Sheriff’s Office.
