Metoxen, Carol A.

Carol A. Metoxen, 71, of De Pere, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon, January 22, 2017 at her home. She was born March 23, 1945, daughter of the late, Antone and Thressa (Doxtator) Melchert.

She is a member of Oneida Assembly of God Church.

Carol retired from Anna John Nursing Home as a laundry supervisor.

Carol enjoyed playing bingo and visiting the casino. She loved every one of her nieces and nephews, as she welcomed their visits with open arms.  Carol was an animal lover, especially her dogs and horses.

Carol is survived by her brothers, Gary (Patricia) Melchert, Appleton; and Merlin (Elaine) Melchert, De Pere; four sisters-in-law: Ruth, Carol, Annette, and Rose Marie; many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by six brothers: Raymond, Harvey, Antone, Herman, Carl and Willis Melchert, and sister, Florence Paul.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. with the Oneida Hymn Singers at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Oneida Assembly of God Church from 9:30 a.m. until the services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Lonnie Johnson officiating.
